I am a General Surgery resident in my 4th year of clinical residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. My research has focused primarily on investigating the utility of various biomarkers for prognosis and clinical decision-making in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. Over the course of two years of dedicated research time we have developed machine learning techniques to augment these approaches. I am working with other members of the department on surgical outcomes related to sarcoma, breast, and liver cancers. My focus has expanded to Social Determinants of Health and developing practical clinical tools to reduce healthcare disparities for patients with cancer. I look forward to meeting more members of the community as I apply for a fellowship position in Complex General Surgical Oncology in the current 2024 cycle.
