Nate Verhagen is an M2 at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He grew up in Brookfield, WI before attending UW-Madison for undergrad. He graduated in May 2021 with a degree in Pharmacology - Toxicology before returning to the Milwaukee area for medical school.
Previously, Nate conducted extensive work investigating the implications of the tumor microenvironment on immunotherapy in various cancers. His current research within the Division of Surgical Oncology is involving the application of advanced data analytics to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on cancer surgeries. He desires to incorporate research and academic medicine into his career.
