Dr Saunders is board-certified in Complex General Surgical Oncology and holds a master's degree in Global Health Planning and Management. He serves as Chair of SSO's International Committee. He has built a community surgical oncology program in Spokane, Washington where he serves on the faculty of both the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Elson S Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. He also serves as adjunct faculty for Loma Linda University's School of Medicine and Center for Global Surgery.
