Dr. Wachtel is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Clinically, she is an Endocrine Surgeon and board certified General Surgeon. She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University, and her MD from the Yale School of Medicine. She trained in General Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania prior to fellowship training in Endocrine Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Wachtel conducts translational research in endocrine and neuroendocrine tumors, with a primary focus on genomic drivers of disease in pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma.
