Dr. Philip Paty is Attending Surgeon on the Colorectal Surgery Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences in New York City. His research experience includes extensive work in molecular profiling of colorectal cancer and, more recently, the study of colorectal stem cells, tumorigenesis, radiation response using human derived organoids. Dr. Paty's clinical practice is surgical management of tumors of the small bowel, appendix, colon, rectum, pelvis, retroperitoneum, and abdominal wall. He was an early adopter and advocate for non-operative management of low rectal cancers.
