Resident Physician
Mayo Clinic Dept Surgery
I am a resident training in general surgery with an interest in surgical oncology. My current research experience includes time as a research fellow in the Clinician-Investigator Program at Mayo Clinic (a physician-scientist training program). I also completed a two years of research under an NIH T32 sponsered grant. My current research project is in the use of cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC in the treatment of gastric adenocarcinoma. I also have spent significant time on signaling cascades in cholangiocarcinoma. As a resident I have maintained a high level of academic productivity as demonstrated by my publication record. In summary, I have demonstrated academic productivity while continuing to be a resident in good standing within the general surgery program and my future plans are to study under a complex general surgery oncology fellowship.
