Mihir M. Shah, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Shah joined Emory Healthcare as an attending physician in September 2018. As a board certified surgeon, Dr. Shah specializes in complex laparoscopic and robotic surgery for the treatment of cancer of the liver, pancreas, biliary tree, stomach, esophagus, bile duct, small bowel and adrenal gland.
Dr. Shah completed his general surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, and a fellowship in advanced laparoscopy and robotic surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the inaugural fellow in complex general surgical oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Dr. Shah serves on the editorial boards for the Journal of Surgical Oncology. His research focuses on improving outcomes of patients undergoing upper GI and HPB surgery, with a special interest in translational research and clinical trials.
