Dr. Gabriel D. Ivey is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He specializes in hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers, gastric cancer, melanoma and sarcoma. Dr. Ivey received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital followed by clinical fellowship training in complex general surgical oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, he completed a postgraduate research fellowship in the field of cancer immunotherapy at the National Cancer Institute. His research focuses on perioperative systemic therapies, population health outomes, and health care disparities.
