Anita Mamtani, MD
Breast Service, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
I am a breast surgical oncologist with a practice dedicated to the treatment of breast diseases. I perform all types of breast surgery. This includes breast conservation (lumpectomy), mastectomy, and nipple-sparing mastectomy, as well as all types of axillary lymph node procedures. Along with caring for patients, I am involved in research to improve breast cancer care and outcomes. I have done studies on various aspects of surgery of the axilla in breast cancer. I have also researched understudied groups of people with breast cancer, including the young and the elderly, as well as those with ductal carcinoma in situ and invasive lobular breast cancer. I consider it a great privilege to support my patients throughout their treatment journey. When I meet with patients, I aim to give them a clear and comprehensive understanding of their diagnosis and the recommended care plan. I want to equip patients with the ability to move forward confidently and comfortably. My team and I are dedicated to providing the best possible care every step of the way.
