Fellow in Complex General Surgical Oncology

Constantinos Zambirinis is a 2nd year fellow in Complex General Surgical Oncology at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Originally from Cyprus, he graduated from the University of Athens Medical School in Greece, earned a Masters of Research in Translational Cancer Medicine at King's College London, UK, and completed his general surgery residency at Brown University. His research has been focused on cancer-associated inflammation and the role of the immune system in cancer progression and metastasis, with special interest in pancreatic cancer. In addition, he is working on the implementation of radiomics and molecular profiling for characterization of tumor biology and prediction of recurrence patterns of GI malignancies.
