Dr. Everett Warren grew up in North Carolina. He attended North Carolina State University as a Park Scholarship recipient. He then participated in Teach For America, where he taught middle school science in the Washington, DC region. While there he obtained his Masters in the Arts of Teaching from American University. He then returned to North Carolina to attending medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It was then that he discovered a passion for breast oncology, working with the faculty of Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina. He completed his General Surgery Residency t Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. During his time residency he completed a Process and Quality Improvement Fellowship and participated in several breast oncology research endeavors under the mentorship of the faculty at Levine Cancer Institute. He is now completing his Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Brown University at Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. His research interests include young women with breast cancer, integrative oncology, health disparities and access to care, genetics, and medical education.
