Full member of Brazilian Society of Surgical oncology (SBCO), Brazilian College of Surgeons (CBC), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), European Society of Surgical Oncology(ESSO), Fellow American College of Surgeons (FACS). Approved in the United States Licensing Medical Examination (USLME) (1996), Master's at Gastroenterology from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1999), and Ph.D. at Oncology from Fundação Antônio Prudente (2003). Has experience in Medicine, surgical oncology, clinical research and translational research, acting on the following subjects: surgical oncology, immunology, clinical research, melanoma, and sarcomas. Post-doc fellow at Karmanos Cancer Institute, Michigan, USA 1999/ 2000 and post-doc fellow at Albert Einstein Cancer Center, NY, USA 2000/2001. Ex-president of Brazilian Melanoma Group (GBM), Founder of Brazilian Sarcoma Group (GBS), Vice -president of Melanoma World Society (MWS). Head of Surgical Oncology at three hospital teams in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil, Professor of Medicine and medical Post-graduation with more of 20 master degree concluded. Published over 50 peer review paper including the first Brazilian epidemiologic database on melanoma with over 27.000 cases and the first epidemiological Brazilian report with over 66.000 cases.
