Doreen DeFaria Yeh, MD is an Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Cardiologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Co-Director of the MGH Cardiovascular Disease and Pregnancy Program. She also serves as the Director of the MGH Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
Dr. DeFaria Yeh completed her MD at the University of Massachuetts Medical School and Internal Medicine residency training at the MGH. She completed her Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and subsequent fellowships in advanced echocardiography, ACHD with focus in cardiovascular disease in pregnancy at UCSF. She has been on staff at MGH for the past 13 years and has received numerous teaching awards including the Brian McGovern Award for Clinical Excellence and Teaching in Cardiology as well as the Fellows Award for Outstanding Clinical Teaching. She has received research funding from the American Heart Association as well as the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at MGH through the Clinician Teacher Development Award. Her publications have focused in the field of ACHD and cardiac disease in pregnancy, and right ventricular exercise reserve and peripartum cardiomyopathy, and she is the Primary Editor of the Clinical Handbook for ACHD. Dr. DeFaria Yeh is faculty of the American Colleage of Cardiology as well as American Society of Echocardiography, and she is the recent past Chair of the American Heart Association Laennec Post Graduate Committee.
