Alisse Hauspurg MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Pennsylvania then attended medical school at Yale University. She completed her ObGyn residency at Brown University / Women and Infants Hospital and her MFM fellowship at Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently a K12 Scholar in the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) program funded by the NIH/Office of Research on Women’s Health. Her research interests focus on mechanisms leading to cardiovascular disease after preeclampsia and development of remote and innovative postpartum interventions to improve long-term maternal cardiovascular health. Along with collaborators in Cardiology, she has established a multi-disciplinary postpartum hypertension follow up clinic at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
