Julia Solomon MD FACOG FAIUM is the director of the Fetal Diagnostic Center of Arizona and Clinical Associate Professor at University of Arizona. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts and medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Solomon completed an OBGYN residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and a Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at New England Medical Center in Boston. She holds numerous committee positions, reviews for several prestigious scientific publications, and has authored several book chapters and articles in fetal cardiology. Dr. Solomon teaches extensively on 3-4D ultrasound and fetal echocardiography as well as other structural abnormalities. Her practice is limited to advanced prenatal diagnosis/fetal echocardiography and consultative maternal fetal medicine. Teaching ultrasound to MFM fellows is also a favorite part of her practice.
Dr. Solomon is a past chair for obstetrics at the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and previous Board of Governors member. She has co-directed the Phoenix Fetal Cardiology Symposium for over 10 years. She is a fellow and member of American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Fetal Heart Society.
