Biography David C. Lagrew Jr. MD, Hoag Specialty Group

Dr. Lagrew is a maternal fetal medicine specialist and physician informaticist with a special interest in maternal quality improvement. In July 2022, he began the role of Chief of Service, Maternal Fetal Medicine for Hoag Healthcare which he currently serves. Dr Lagrew holds triple board certification in Obstetrics/Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Clinical Informatics and is active in authoring numerous peer reviewed publications, best practice guidelines/toolkits and book chapters. He is a Clinical professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, UC Irvine and is immediate past chair of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine’s Clinical Informatics Committee. He has headed several perinatal safety collaboratives and has served as a longtime member of the Executive Committee of the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative. As part of his informatics work, he is certified as an Epic Physician Builder/Data analytics.
