The rate of twin gestations increased in the last few decades, mainly due to the increased use of fertility treatments, and increase in maternal age. While the rate of twin gestation is around 3%, their contribution to maternal morbidity, as well as to neonatal morbidity and mortality, is quite more substantial. From increased rates of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and gestational diabetes, to higher rates of preterm births and their associated complications, to unique complications such as TTTP, TAPS, selective fetal growth restriction and more. This course will review the most up-to-date evidence-based management practices in twin gestation, and will provide practical tools for the consulting MFM in twin gestations.
