Spine interventional procedures encompass a variety of techniques unique to different clinical situations. The proposed session will highlight new techniques in spine IR, both for diagnosis and treatment. The international group of panelists will describe modern approaches and techniques that interventionists should know. As well, new devices for multifidis stimulation and RFA of the basivertebral nerve will be featured. A focus will include the latest development on the use of interspinous spacers for spinal stenosis. Finally, a review of current and upcoming health policy challenges will close out the session. The faculty is truly international with participating experts emanating from Italy, Greece and all over the USA.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participant will be able to describe in detail the evidence for emerging percutaneous spine treatments including basivertebral nerve ablation for chronic low back pain and spacers for neurogenic claudication.
Upon completion, participant will be able to differentiate when to use indirect decompression methods from percutaneous, intralaminar, fusion devices.
Upon completion, participant will be able to understand the policy challenges facing practitioners of interventional spine care. Participants will also be familiarized, where applicable, with ongoing efforts to address these issues.
