Interventional radiologists are becoming increasingly involved in multidisciplinary management pf acute and chronic pulmonary embolism. In coming years, interventional radiology will play a significant role in the clinical management of CTEPH patients.

This session is designed to highlight the value of IR involvement in the multidisciplinary teams treating acute PE, CTEPH, hemoptysis and pulmonary AVMs.

Learning Objectives:

In a real-world population including both massive & submassive PE, data aligns with single arm IDE studies, including: Significant reduction in RV/LV ratio and intraprocedural sPAP Safety….(pending new data)
STRIKE-PE provides valuable insight into patient functional outcomes and quality of life, including: Meaningful improvement in 6MW distance, dyspnea Significant improvement in general and disease specific QoL
BPA is an evolving and increasingly common mechanism of management for CTEPH patients, best as part of a multidisciplinary team approach including medicine and surgery
