Thyroid nodules are a common clinical problem. Although surgery is standard of care for thyroid nodules, thyroidectomy risks complications such as bleeding, infection, nerve injury, and hypothyroidism. Percutaneous thermal ablation is an alternative to surgery that is quickly growing in popularity with patients and providers. Practical pearls will be presented regarding patient selection and safe adoption of thyroid nodule ablation.
