Interventional radiology therapies for the management of intervertebral disk herniation and degeneration include spine injections, decompressive/destructive or regenerative percutaneous approaches. These therapies can be proposed as attractive alternatives to endoscopic or surgical approaches. IRs and spine specialists should be aware of percutanelous techniques for the management of intervertebral disc herniation. Lectures of this categorical course will cover clinical evaluation as well as a variety or percutaneous approaches applied to treat disc herniation

Learning Objectives:

To understand the variety of treatments available to treat intervertebral disc herniation
To categorize in terms of a treatment hierarchy the available treatments for intervertebral disc herniation
To understand the pros and cons of the various treatments for intervertebral disc herniations
