Description of the session: AVS is growing in importance with the recognition that primary aldosteronism is a common and potentially surgically curable form of HTN. Past struggles with low success rates have been addressed with a series of modifications and improvements which allow a much steeper learning curve to high technical success and patient/referring MD satisfaction. This session will focus on tips and tricks for success, using a Q+A format for maximum interaction and learning. The panelists are self-described "AVS nerds" who want to help IRs of all ages and experience maximize their AVS success rates.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to list commonly used catheter shapes for maximum AVS success
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe the relative roles of pre- and intra-procedural cross sectional imaging in AVS
Upon completion, participants will be able to list anatomical clues which can facilitate identifying the right adrenal vein
