This course was designed to address the growing number of controversies in the endovascular approach and management of various venous thromboembolic disease states. Structured as a "pro/con" style debate, each topic presented will have two speakers providing arguments for and against the position statement presented. Topics for discussion include IVC filter utilization during DVT/PE thrombectomy, risk for valvular damage with mechanical thrombectomy, and role of catheter thrombolysis versus large bore thrombectomy in the contemporary management of PE.
