Description of the session: This SIR town hall session will be a panel discussion on the future of women in interventional radiology. This session will focus on career planning and management for residents, fellows, medical students, researchers and anyone aspiring for a career in Interventional Radiology. Dr. Dania Daye, Dr. Natosha Monfore, Dr. Julie Bulman, Dr. Gina Landinez, Dr. Barbara Hamilton, Dr. Shellie Josephs and Dr. Gloria Salazar, are the speakers on the panel. The combined experience of this expert panel will be able to provide insights on how to excel in interventional radiology. This session is in collaboration with SIR WIR RFS.

Learning Objectives:

Describe the unique challenges women face in interventional radiology with open questions and discussions between the panel and the participants. Upon completion, participants will be able to navigate the career path more confidently based on the panel discussion.
Provide a forum for the participants to reach out to panelists during and after the town hall session. Upon completion, participants will be able to seek guidance, mentorship and support with confidence based on the panel discussion.
Describe the different career paths to pursue interventional radiology. Upon completion, participants may be able to make better career decisions with advanced management skills based on the panel discussion.
