This session will discuss the importance of diversity within the IR community. The presentations will focus on providing a multi-dimensional perspective on the topic in order to create awareness, provoke thought and hopefully improve outcomes for our minority patients. Specific topics discussed will include navigating IR as a minority physician, how to "stand up" for minority patients, experience of minority IR trainees, becoming a diversity, equity and inclusion ally, the importance of having a diverse staff and of understanding each patient's culture.
