Women experience unique health issues and conditions. Interventional radiologists treat a variety of those using endovascular techniques but traditional surgery remains sometimes the only treatment available. Today, interventional radiologists have developed percutaneous image-guided procedures to address some of conditions, such as breast tumors, infertility or endometriosis, often with less pain and shorter recovery time than open surgery.
