This session will will address the essfects of women leaders distancing them from junior women colleagues -who's fault is it, the leaky pipeline or problems with generational progression in IR and the importance of male allies.Our sessions are meant for all SIR attendees as the issues resonate with everyone working in interventional radiology. We hope to have a nice split between genders and our speakers are motivated to present topics that are thought provoking, informative, and beneficial for all in the audience.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of the sessionn the participant will have a clearer understanding of the problems affecting generational progression of Women in IR
Particpants will be able to describe the phenomenon of "ther queen bee phenonenon" and its effect on women and its causes in the workplace .
Male and female particpants will learn the importance of having male colleagues as Allies.
