Goals and objectives of SIR Annual Scientific Meeting

It is SIR’s goal to promote the high-quality practice of interventional radiology through this and other educational programs. Meeting attendees will receive the latest information in basic and clinical research; experience techniques and technologies utilized by interventional radiologists around the world; see the latest equipment used in IR; and discuss social, political, and economic issues important to the IR community.

At the end of this meeting the learner should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the high-quality practice of interventional radiology in a team environment
  2. Illustrate the latest information regarding basic and clinical research in diseases, including techniques and technologies integral to the practice of interventional radiology
  3. Evaluate the latest equipment developed for interventional radiology procedures
  4. Discuss societal, political and economic issues of importance to the interventional radiology community

How do I register for the meeting?

  • All registrations must have an SIR account in order to register. Click here to manage your SIR account.

What is included for attendees with the Annual Meeting registration?

  • Attendee registration includes access to the live meeting in Phoenix, March 4-9 and SIR 2023 On-demand, where attendees will be able to access recordings of all sessions.

How do I log into my account to favorite sessions and events for the live meeting in Phoenix?

  • Access is through sirmeeting.org or through the SIR 2023 App (coming in February 2023). On the website, please click “login” in the upper-right corner. On the mobile app, use the orange login button.
  • Use your regular SIR credentials to enter the meeting. These are also the credentials you used to register for SIR 2023.

How do I access on-demand programs?

  • Please click here for instructions on accessing SIR 2023 On-demand, providing you access to recordings of all live sessions. Recordings will be posted following the conclusion of the meeting.

Are one-day passes available for purchase?

  • Yes, one-day passes will be available in February and onsite for purchase.

Are medical students able to attend? Is there a discount available?

  • Yes, medical students are welcome to attend the meeting. The medical student rate is $50. There is special programming for medical students that will take place on Saturday, March 4. 

Can I transfer/cancel my registration?

  • Yes. Please reference the cancellation policy for more details in your confirmation email. 
  • Cancellation Policy
    • Registration: Cancellations received in writing by February 10, 2023, will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. No refunds will be given after February 10, 2023. Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events or early departure. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to:
    • Housing: 
      All reservations must be guaranteed by a credit card. If you cancel within the hotel's cancellation policy or no show, the hotel will either retain the deposit or charge your credit card one night's room and tax. In addition, checking out of your hotel prior to your scheduled departure date could result in an "Early Departure Fee" equal to one night's room and tax.

How do I claim my CME meeting credits?

  • Please click here for instructions on claiming CME credit or participation hours. All attendees will be required to claim their own credits via the SIR Learning Center. The SIR 2023 meeting course will be in your learning center account one week before the meeting begins.

How long will SIR 2023 meeting content be available to me?

  • SIR 2023 meeting content will be available on SIR 2023 On-demand under your account for three years.

Where do I find the SIR 2023 App?

  • The SIR 2023 App is available to download through the Apple App Store or Google Play. It is compatible with iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices (phones and tablets). Please click to see this page for quick access links. The app will be available in February.

What else should I know about the mobile app?

  • The SIR 2023 mobile app is an alternative way to participate in the conference. You can favorite sessions, visit exhibitors, network with colleagues and more! The app will be available in February.

Accreditation & CME Credit Information

  • Please click here to read SIRs accreditation statement and for instructions on how to claim CME credit and Participation hours. All attendees will be required to claim their own credits via the SIR Learning Center. The SIR 2023 meeting course will be in your Learning Center account one week before the meeting.
