PGY-2 Resident in Foot and Ankle Surgery

Emily Lobos, DPM is a current PGY2 resident in Foot and Ankle Surgery at West Penn Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. Originally from eastern North Carolina, she graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015 with a BS in Psychology and minors in Biology and Chemistry. From 2011 to 2017 she studied many facets of prostate cancer treatment with Dr. Ronald Chen and Dr. Stephen Freedland with multiple publications and poster presentations. She is a class of 2021 graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. There she performed research with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons chapter and led the American Public Health Association (APHA) chapter. In 2017 she joined the Foot and Ankle Health section of APHA and became a Section Counselor and Awards Chair, which she continues today. In 2022 she was the winner of the APHA Foot and Ankle section Stephen Toth Service Award and the Leonard Levy Award. She was also recently a member of the American Podiatric Medicine Association Physician Parity Committee and currently has two publications pending on intra-articular calcaneal fractures and retrospective research techniques.
