Dr. Christopher Bibbo is Chief, Foot & Ankle Section at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopaedics/International Center for Limb Lengthening, of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Baltimore Maryland, where he specialized in Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgery, Plastic Reconstructive & Microsurgery (Orthoplastics), Orthopaedic Trauma & Surgery Musculoskeletal Infections. Dr. Bibbo is an instructor for the Rubin Institute Orthopaedic Surgery Residency, Podiatric Surgery Residency & the Foot & Ankle Deformity Correction & Orthplastics Fellowship programs and is a Clinical Professor at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Bibbo holds degrees in both Medicine, and, Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Bibbo earned his Medical Degree from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Rowan University) and his Podiatric Medical Degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Bibbo’s post-graduate training in Orthopaedic and General Surgery s were at New Jersey Medical School/NJ State Trauma Center in Newark, NJ; his Medical Internship was at the Atlantic City Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Bibbo completed an Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Fellowship at the OrthoCarolina (Miller Orthopaedic Clinic) & Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC., and a Fellowship in Plastic Reconstructive & Microsurgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania; he is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery; Foot Surgery & Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, &, the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Bibbo is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a lifetime member in the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery and, the Musculoskeletal Infection Society, and the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Bibbo has published over 200 papers & abstracts; He has served as Assistant Editor for both Foot & Ankle International and Techniques in Foot & Ankle Surgery; he also acts as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery, Clinical Orthopaedics & Related Research, J Reconstructive Microsurgery, and Microsurgery. Dr. Bibbo is a contributing editor & chapter lead author for chapters in the textbook: Primary and Revision Total Ankle Replacement: Evidence-Based Surgical Management, Coughlin and Mann’s Surgery of the Foot and Ankle, and The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Atlas of Amputations and Limb Deficiencies
