Healthcare reform continues to be a deeply partisan issue in US politics, and political gridlock in Congress has made efforts at reform challenging. Yet amid the upcoming 2024 election cycle news that dominates the political airwaves, it can be easy to lose sight of the real work that Congress has done. There has been a revival of policy debate and legislative activity that can have important lasting impacts for wound care and other specialties: the expansion of 21st Century Cures, the Lymphedema Treatment Act and Wound Care at Home.
