Most illicit drugs consumed in the United States originate beyond our borders. Understanding and disrupting that supply chain is critical to the nation’s battle against the addiction epidemic. This session will explore which drugs are entering the country, where and how they are coming in, what adulterations occur after they arrive, and how law enforcement responds. Participants will gain greater insight into the international drug trafficking trends that ultimately impact their communities.

Identify the types, sources, and methods of illicit drugs entering the United States
Discuss trends in adulterations of drugs after they enter the United States
Explain law enforcement efforts to disrupt the illicit drug supply
