Hazelden Bettyford
Board certified in adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and addiction medicine, Dr. Polley serves as medical director of Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s adolescent and young adult services. In addition to her leadership role, she works with young people and families who struggle with substance use and mental health conditions. Dr. Polley completed her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital, the primary pediatric teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School, and was chief fellow during her final year there—working with the pediatric addiction team on research-based interventions that integrate medical, psychological, spiritual and social treatments for both individuals and families. Dr. Polley completed her adult psychiatry training in a joint program between Sheppard Pratt Hospital and the University of Maryland, with a focus on the use of motivational interviewing and psychodynamic principles in the treatment of psychiatric illness. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and earned her bachelor of science degree in child psychology from the University of Minnesota's Institute of Child Development.
