Jennie Jarrett is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy and Director of Science and Drug Policy at the American Medical Association. She received her PharmD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to complete two years of pharmacy residency specializing in primary care. After years as a family medicine inpatient clinician and physician educator, she completed her master’s degree in medical education from the University of Pittsburgh. Her current research work focuses on workforce development and health policy specifically to maximize interprofessional primary care teams to improve patient care for vulnerable, underserved populations with substance use disorders.
