Dr. Nicole Davis is a Lead Epidemiologist and Acting Chief of the Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch in the Division of Overdose Prevention (DOP) at CDC’s Injury Center. In this role, she manages the Division's nonfatal and fatal overdose surveillance activities, including those implemented through CDC’s Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) cooperative agreement. She has served as a Lead Epidemiologist in the Branch since January 2020 and first joined CDC in 2005. Dr. Davis earned a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has over 35 publications in peer-reviewed journals and MMWRs and has given numerous presentations to domestic and international audiences.
