Asha Carroll (she/her) is Director of Social Media Engagement for the National Stigma Initiative at Shatterproof, a national nonprofit dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis in the United States, where she oversees social media and influencer strategy for the National Stigma Initiative’s statewide stigma reduction campaigns.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Asha worked as as Communications Director and Spokesperson for a major state political party where she led statewide messaging and communications strategy and served as chief on-the-record spokesperson. Previously, she served as the organization’s first ever Digital Organizing Director, where she developed and oversaw the party's first statewide comprehensive digital strategy and expanded digital communications to include storytelling and video content and developed a statewide strategic framework for reaching rural communities.
Ms. Carroll grew her career matchmaking brands with fast-growing influencers in the early days of Instagram, and has created major partnerships, marketing initiatives, and content for leading retail brands, influencers, and celebrities in her 10+ years of consumer brand marketing. She worked four cycles as a political communications and organizing strategist supporting campaigns from City Council to Congress, and she is the founder of an award-winning consumer packaged goods startup distributed at national and regional retailers including Urban Outfitters, Erewhon, and Foxtrot and featured on TV shows including Access Hollywood and in publications including Bon Appétit, Harper’s BAZAAR, Thrillist, and WWD.
Ms. Carroll holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and a MM from New England Conservatory.
