Ms. Liskamm is the Director of the Consumer Protection Branch which uses both civil and criminal tools to protect consumers’ health, safety, economic security, and identity integrity. The Branch devotes a great deal of resources to investigations focused on all levels of the prescription opioid supply chain, as well as several counterfeit pill initiatives.
Ms. Liskamm has served in numerous leadership roles in the Department, including as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division, Chief of Staff at the DEA, as well as Associate Deputy Attorney General and Director of Opioid Enforcement and Prevention Efforts in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General. Ms. Liskamm also led the Litigation Section in the Criminal Division's Narcotics' Section where she lead investigations and prosecutions of cartels kingpins and brought narco-corruption charges against political figures in Mexico and Guatemala. Most notably, Ms. Liskamm lead the Criminal Division in the prosecution of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman Loera, the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. Ms. Liskamm began her career in the Department as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Central District of California.
