Tabatha Curtis is the state wide coordinator for the Tennessee Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. TADEC is encompassed under the TN. Bureau of Investigation/TN. Dangerous Drugs Task Force. As the statewide coordinator Ms. Curtis has assisted in accruing over 3 million dollars for the growth and expansion of the TN. Drug Endangered Response Team communities. Ms. Curtis has over fourteen years of experience working in the field of substance abuse prevention and twenty-six years of experience in working with youth and families. Tabatha is a trained facilitator for the “Strengthening Families” program, has coordinated parenting classes for young incarcerated adults, moral recognition therapy classes for juveniles and young adults, and social skills classes for young adults. As a former director of a prevention coalition she has experience in actively engaging the community in coalition efforts to educate and reduce substance abuse and violence.
Tabatha has extensive knowledge and experience in the outcomes based strategic prevention framework planning process and is a coalition mentoring coach for the developing community coalitions for the state of Tennessee. She has served as a grant peer reviewer for the state of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and the Drug Free Communities Grant program. Ms. Curtis is a National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children certified trainer and serves as a board member for the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. Ms. Curtis is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, a graduate of the CADCA Academy and a Certified Prevention Specialists.
