Ms. Reynolds is Manager of the Health Communication and Marketing Program at Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU). She brings over 16 years’ experience leading formative research, health communication, and social marketing projects for local, state and federal governments, academic entities, and community-based and non-profit agencies. Jennifer is a campaign and media strategist, social media trainer, and content creator with special interest in reaching vulnerable, disenfranchised, and geographically-isolated communities. Jennifer has earned an Award of Excellence (1st place) from the Public Relations Society of America for her communication campaigns, gold medals from Digital Health Awards for her communication products, and has been recognized by the CDC for "exceptional leadership and innovation".
Since 2019, Jennifer has served as Project Director for ORAU’s support to the four academic institutions implementing the communication interventions of the NIDA and SAMHSA HEALing Communities Study. ORAU's support across research sites and communities focuses on formative research, community engagement, content creation (print, digital, and video materials), technical assistance and training, media planning and buying, and evaluation. Jennifer currently leads campaign implementation for the Kentucky HEALing Communities study, under the direction of University of Kentucky faculty lead Dr. Nicky Lewis.
Jennifer also serves the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) to market and promote the National Harm Reduction Technical Assistance Center (NHRTAC). From 2015 - 2019, Jennifer worked with the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to build the capacity of community-based organizations to use social media to recruit members for coalitions, educate the public, and combat stigma.
