Colleen Snow is the Camden County NJ Assistant Director of Mental Health & Addiction. She was appointed by the county in May 2022, due to her significant work in her former position as the Director of the Municipal Court Substance Use diversional program, Project S.A.V.E. Project SAVE is a county initiative that places Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors directly in the courtroom of 34 municipalities, to assist in linking non-violent offenders to treatment services voluntarily.
Ms. Snow graduated Rutgers University in 2017 with a master’s in social work, concentration in clinical therapy, and an emphasis in Addiction Certification Training. She began working with the incarcerated population in 2015 as a gradutae intern at the Camden County Correctional Facility (CCCF), and later became an employee in the jail’s Mental Health department and the Lakeland Juvenile Detention Center.
Ms. Snow has a variety of clinical experience, in addition to program management. Her current responsibilities as Assistant Director of Mental Health & Addiction consists of overseeing the PHAST, OFRT, and Project SAVE; in addition to data analysis, detailed-reporting, Request for Proposal (RFP) writing, program developing and implementation. Ms. Snow has presented initiatives, such as Project SAVE, to numerous police departments and law enforcement stakeholders, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the New Jersey Association of Mental Health & Addiction Agencies (NJAMAA) Statewide Conference. She is also co-chair of Camden County’s Gun Violence Advisory Board, and in process of completing the NJ state exam to become a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
