Anita Collins-McCullum serves as MCHC’s psychiatric nurse practitioner and is a key member of the integrated behavioral health/addiction treatment model. Dually certified in addiction treatment and perinatal mood disorder treatment, Mrs. McCullum provides invaluable psychiatric services to both the medication assisted treatment population and the neonatal abstinence prevention population. A native of Southeastern Kentucky, Mrs. McCullum has dedicated her practice to improving the mental health of her community members. Serving in outpatient, inpatient, and correctional settings, Mrs. McCullum’s psychiatric experience and compassion for her neighbors enables her to provide unmatched care for those in addiction. By addressing psychiatric needs, Mrs. McCullum is able to not only improve health outcomes for patients in addiction, but she is also reducing the stigma related to psychiatry services that exists in rural areas like southeastern Kentucky. Mrs. McCullum is a member of the Association of Science and Addiction Medicine.
