Dr. Daniel S. Soucier is the project director for the Maine Drug Data Hub and serves as a
Research Associate at the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center at the University of Maine. His
expertise is in digital curation as well as the intersections between the environment, health,
society, and geopolitics. He began working in public health research, data analysis, and
evaluation in 2019 and, in addition to directing the Data Hub, provides support for the Maine
Naloxone Distribution Initiative, the Maine Violent Death Reporting System, the Maine State
Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System, ODMAP, the Maine Attorney General
Naloxone Distribution Program, and the Overdose Prevention Through Intensive Outreach,
Naloxone, and Safety behavioral health co-responder initiative in Maine.
