Godhari is a word for a utilitarian quilt. This workshop is a reflection of what Sujata observed from the tailors and seamstresses in India. Rethink freedom of expression with the idea of rescue and repurpose. While being mindful, present, and resourceful, immerse yourself in the process of making a memory quilt with little use of tools and gadgets. Sujata will share and discuss each step of her creative process and help students find their personal voice. In this workshop, the focus will be on value, composition and design.
