Learn the first steps of free motion quilting in a fast-paced, hands-on, supportive class. This class will cover sewing machine set-up, strategies for success, and five basic designs that do not require marking. Each design will teach a foundational skill: controlling tension, changing direction, making design variations, controlling speed and scale, and making compound shapes. Through this process, students will begin to build their own personal style. Each student will leave with a completed quilting sampler, new confidence, and the urge to quilt a whole quilt! Sewing machines provided!
