Are you looking for a digital way to visualize your quilt ideas? Do you need tools to support and complement your quilt-oriented business? Or maybe you’d like to preview quilt ideas using different fabrics before cutting into your stash? PreQuilt is an online quilt design application that can help you quickly visualize your quilt ideas. In this hands-on workshop, students will discover how to design their own quilts in PreQuilt. Using an example quilt, they will create custom blocks, reverse engineer blocks, create custom quilts, merge cells, add sashing, add borders, add binding, use color tags, preview digital fabric swatches, download their quilt map, and create digital coloring pages. This technical know-how can be applied to all their future design ideas and support a variety of different commercial endeavors. This is a hands-on computer workshop and students must bring their own laptop computer with Wi-Fi capability and power supply. Students should have strong tech literacy skills. This is a no-sew workshop.
