Traditional custom quilting often encourages us to add some type of little quilty flourish to each bit of our piecing for maximum effect. But what happens if, like a kindergartener gone rogue with a crayon, we consider the option of ignoring our piecing seams when creating our quilting plan. Students will learn the foundations of “quilting outside the lines” all the way from a quilting plan to execution of the plan itself. These custom quilting plans are fun to quilt and gorgeous to look at. During this workshop, HollyAnne will demystify how to layer quilting motifs to create gorgeous and complex quilts. Sewing machines provided!
