You can use whole cloth or pieced. I recommend a low loft, 100% cotton batting or bamboo/cotton blend. The classic tied quilt is making a comeback! Learn how to update this old-fashioned quilt finish with a new, modern twist. Give your quilt a unique look by using wool ties and also by felting them into small pompoms. Discover the appropriate tools and materials for the task including needle and thimble recommendations, yarn type recommendations, and learning about felting needles. Students will work on a whole cloth mini quilt learning the best techniques for threading the needle, pulling yarn through the quilt sandwich, and tying and felting the yarn into this unique whimsical style of tying a quilt.
