Required Supplies: * Class supply kit (includes pattern and 2 paper copies of each FPP template) * Fabric (see pattern for specific amounts) * Thin, sharp pins or a fabric-safe, washable glue stick Optional Supplies: * Quilting ruler (6" x 12" recommended, but anything with a 1/4" seam marking will work). The FPP process involves regularly trimming seam allowances with a ruler. Shared rulers, rottary cutters, and mats will be provided, but you may want to bring your own to maximize your in-class experience. * Add-a-Quarter ruler * Seam roller or finger presser * Thread (50 wt or thinner recommended), neutral thread will be provided Prep Requirements: *Optional* If desired, you can cut fabric pieces in advance per the pattern instructions. Spiraling Triangles is a foundation paper piecing pattern that teaches quilters how to handle larger FPP templates and exercises color and fabric selection skills. Students can choose between two layout options to make either a 15″ x 18″ or 18″ square mini quilt, and select fabrics to highlight the triangle structure or create three swirling spirals. Some FPP experience is helpful, but even beginners can be successful in this workshop. Sewing machines provided!
