Sydnei Lewis is a first-year PhD student in Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh in the Translational Biomechanics Lab as part of the Translational Research Labs in Urogynecology working under the supervision of Dr. Steven Abramowitch. Sydnei completed a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Colorado - Boulder. Before moving to Pittsburgh she worked in a neurosurgery laboratory in collaboration with clinicians and engineers to create tools to predict the best stimulation regime for Parkinson’s patients using deep brain stimulation. Her research interests are in using computational methods to understand and treat pelvic floor disorders.
