Many of us are teaching students, residents, and/or fellows in the operating room everyday. Whether you’ve been doing this for decades or are at the beginning of your career, this course will equip you with the tools needed to take your surgical education skills to the next level. As a Urogynecologist, you have a unique set of skills and expertise that position you to excel as a surgical educator. This course will help you tap into these skills and create an effective learning environment. The OR teaching of today may be different from the environment you were trained in. This course will give you up-to-date information on pertinent medical education paradigms. You will leave the course with easily implementable curricula for a variety of cases and an ability to navigate learner needs and challenging scenarios. Finally, participants will gain perspective on the importance of inclusion in the OR, and how this ultimately strengthens the field and improves patient care.
